Building a User-Friendly IT Service Website
Launching Broad Tech Support was a significant milestone for me as both a developer and an entrepreneur. Starting my own IT support business in Tauranga meant creating an online presence that was not only professional but also approachable and user-friendly for both residential and small business clients.
A Focus on Simplicity and Approachability
From the outset, I knew that the website for Broad Tech Support needed to be simple, clear, and welcoming. My goal was to design a single-page website that communicated our services in a straightforward manner while also being responsive and visually appealing. It was important that the site maintained its charm across all devices, making it easy for potential clients to navigate and understand what we offer, regardless of how they accessed the site.
Building the Brand
Branding was a crucial part of this project. I wanted the site to stand out with colors that reflected the personality of Broad Tech Support—friendly, reliable, and professional. The color scheme was carefully chosen to reinforce the brand identity and leave a lasting impression on visitors. This focus on branding extended beyond just the website; it was about creating a recognizable and trustworthy brand in the IT support industry.
Streamlined Form Submission
Given that a key goal of the website was to generate leads and inquiries, it was vital that the form submission process be as straightforward as possible. I wanted visitors to feel comfortable reaching out without being overwhelmed by complicated forms. Using Formspree, I created a smooth and efficient form submission process that aligned perfectly with the overall user experience.
Technical Details: Webflow, GitHub, and Cloudflare
The website was initially built on Webflow, which provided the flexibility needed to create a custom design with ease. Once the design was complete, I exported the site and hosted it on GitHub. The deployment was handled through Cloudflare, providing fast load times and robust security.
By leveraging these tools, I was able to create a website that is both aesthetically pleasing and technically sound. The combination of Webflow’s design capabilities, GitHub’s hosting, and Cloudflare’s deployment services resulted in a site that is reliable and efficient.
Conclusion
Broad Tech Support’s website reflects my commitment to providing top-notch IT support services. The design and functionality were carefully crafted to make the site user-friendly, responsive, and aligned with the brand’s values. This project allowed me to combine my technical skills with my passion for helping others, resulting in a website that not only looks great but also serves as an effective tool for growing my business.
